</div><div style="color: #93c47d;"><span style="font-size: large;">Yesterday evening few girls were trying to start their scooty bike but could not, and we were just watching them. I told one of the boys to help her in starting her bike, as it’s a culture in India to help the girls with their bikes. But he seemed to enjoy her frustration and didn’t go. Then one of the girl told him- “ Tum bas bethe-bethe dekhte raho help nahi kar sakte kya? “ (Why don’t you help instead of seeing us struggling?) </span></div><div style="color: #93c47d;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span></div><div style="color: #93c47d;"><span style="font-size: large;">I burst into laughter after hearing her unexpected remark and so the girl. He went to her tried hard to start her bike. I also went to her and she started telling me about the problem her bike has and suddenly her bike starts. A big smile come on her face she said me thank you very much and went away. That boy saw me and said in frustration I started her bike and the stupid girl not even said thank you, all people and few customers witnessed this scene and could not control their laughter…. </span></div></div>sachinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08243220793694199066noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2972127016889435447.post-11709214390137140242011-02-17T01:57:00.001-08:002011-02-17T02:00:19.201-08:00Back...!!!<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"><link href="file:///C:/DOCUME%7E1/a/LOCALS%7E1/Temp/msoclip1/01/clip_filelist.xml" rel="File-List"></link><style>

</div><div style="color: black; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">These days police is taking very strong actions to arrest criminals and maintain communal harmony in city. Some furniture is being made in my shop and I was there and police came there and started checking vehicles for weapons and criminals. </div><div style="color: black; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br />
</div><div style="color: black; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">I was sitting on my bike near them and watching all the activities then came city S.P. and police instantly became more alert. Policeman stopped a car and the driver did not stop and started arguing with policeman. S.P. Saab came there and slapped the driver and then all the policemen started beating the driver with foot and stick and I became uneasy seeing all this as it is my first chance witness police action. Again a biker came drunk and fought with policeman and then police arrested him and beat him aggressively. </div><div style="color: black; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br />
</div><div style="color: black; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Ratlam has just witnessed a communal riot and police took strong and quick action to control the riots and a curfew was charged in city for few days. People of minority religion are boiled at police and threatening the S.P. and Collector and therefore Police is very strict these days. </div><div style="color: black; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">After watching all these chaos I couldn’t resist writing all these. At my way to home I told one of the police officer that folks of Ratlam are with the police and Police should be stricter to maintain peace in the city and arrest terrorists of minority population. </div>sachinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08243220793694199066noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2972127016889435447.post-29591605052376771322010-07-11T11:27:00.000-07:002010-07-11T11:29:07.896-07:00Amazing people, Tragic endsThe other day one of India's top fashion model "Viveka Babajee" committed suicide. Hanged in her bedroom, with diary notes testifying her emotional turbulences and loneliness. There is a huge list of sucessful, have it all people who died or killed themselves tragically.<br />
<br />
Marilyn Monroe before her `probable suicide’ said in an interview - “Sometimes I’m invited to places to brighten up a dinner table like a musician. You’re just an ornament.” Lucy Gordon (Spiderman fame) also suffered the same agony. An immense sense of loneliness, hopelessness and lack of belonging seems to overpower even the most gifted ones to end the beautiful gift of God, Life.<br />
<br />
Things like this are extremely troubling and compels me to count my blessings. Family, friends, my town, my garden, my pets, the soothing morning breeze, the sun rise, the chirping of birds, the moist grass of the morning... there are so many reasons to live and make life more beautiful every day.<br />
<br />
May God always be with all of us.sachinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08243220793694199066noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2972127016889435447.post-46319278257724513562010-07-08T10:52:00.000-07:002010-07-10T10:11:39.622-07:00Paul vs. Parrot..!<meta content="text/html; charset=utf-8" http-equiv="Content-Type"></meta><meta content="Word.Document" name="ProgId"></meta><meta content="Microsoft Word 9" name="Generator"></meta><meta content="Microsoft Word 9" name="Originator"></meta><link href="file:///C:/DOCUME%7E1/m/LOCALS%7E1/Temp/msoclip1/01/clip_filelist.xml" rel="File-List"></link><style>

</span></div><div class="MsoBodyText" style="color: lime; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">I am forced to think that human beings are horrible to animals. What if somebody puts us in a small cage for all our life? What’d be our life after that? I think it is hideous practice and should be made illegal. Whenever I see birds in cages I feel very sad because I can’t let them out. If one has to keep bird in cage then its ok as long as you let them out for exercise flights in the house. Cages should be large and proper care must be taken. <o:p></o:p></span></div><div class="MsoBodyText" style="color: lime; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span></div><div class="MsoBodyText" style="color: lime; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">But it’s damn cruel to clip their wings and never let them out of their cage. I'm not happy about keeping animals or birds in small cages and so I would never keep a bird. If we had more compassion for animals we’d be better people and we’d be happier too. </span></div><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: 12pt;"></span>sachinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08243220793694199066noreply@blogger.com11tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2972127016889435447.post-86669832829637889562010-06-22T11:27:00.000-07:002010-06-23T01:26:01.547-07:00If you would read only one book in your life?<div style="color: yellow;"><span style="font-size: large;">Firstly, I strongly recommend that all of us read much much more than just one book in our life :)... (of course other than the school books) But what if I were to read only one book in my entire life time? Which book should this be?</span></div><div style="color: yellow;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span></div><div style="color: yellow;"><span style="font-size: large;">I am not the most voracious reader type (many people I have met actually read one or more book per week) but from whatever reading I have done, I have following preference --</span></div><div style="color: yellow;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span></div><div style="color: yellow;"><span style="font-size: large;">1. Any religious\spiritual book in which you believe... may be Bible, Gita, Quran or any spiritual books. (Hinduism believes that the ultimate aim of human life is to seek God, and hence if we just want to read only one book then why not devote it to the ultimate aim)</span></div><div style="color: yellow;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span></div><div style="color: yellow;"><span style="font-size: large;">2. For more materialistic humans like me :), I would recommend "The magic of Thinking Big" by David Schwartz.</span></div><div style="color: yellow;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span></div><div style="color: yellow;"><span style="font-size: large;">This book has the potential to change our thinking and affect every possible dimension of our life. I read this book long ago and I keep going back to read certain chapters to pep up myself. More on this book sometime later... :)</span></div><div style="color: yellow;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span></div><div style="color: yellow;"><span style="font-size: large;">Let me know which book would you read if you are to read only one book in your life???</span></div>sachinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08243220793694199066noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2972127016889435447.post-14846981419364347452010-06-14T12:53:00.000-07:002010-06-14T12:56:02.156-07:00Stray DogsDuring my early morning walk today, I saw a girl with her cute pet puppy. Suddenly a couple of street dogs started barking at the pet. Unfortunately street dogs or stray dogs are still a reality is most cities of India. These are the dogs born and raised on streets with no one being owner or caretaker. And as the herd mentality goes, hearing the barking sound a few more stray dogs from nearing areas joined the chorus. The girl was a little perturbed and as it was morning there were very few people around (hardly any I guess).<br />
<br />
I went up to the girl, consoled her by the old saying that barking dogs seldom bite, called a cab to make sure that she along with Silky reach home safely. (by the way Silky is the pet's name). I felt like a hero who just rescued a little girl and her pet...but I was about to see another hero....<br />
<br />
As the cab drew away, one of the stray dogs, who seemed to be the leader of the pack, ran behind the cab for a distance. Constantly barking and waging his tail, after running a while he came back with a sort of winner's smile of face :) ... Happy that he shoo away an intruder from his territory...<br />
<br />
Meanwhile I have found an NGO on internet dedicated to the cause of Stray dogs... Time to call them up....sachinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08243220793694199066noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2972127016889435447.post-60027442832518618352010-06-11T05:16:00.000-07:002010-06-11T05:19:10.735-07:00Things that........... This was the thought which crossed my mind when I first saw the title ‘Think and grow rich’ on a book….</div><div style="color: cyan;"><br />
</div><div style="color: cyan;">Curious… I picked up the book and found that it actually contained a lot of meat about human behavior and human endeavors.</div><div style="color: cyan;"><br />
</div><div style="color: cyan;">Unless I think something how can I do or achieve that? All great work begins with a thought…blah blah blah....I have read this many times….</div><div style="color: cyan;"><br />
</div><div style="color: cyan;">But the very first story about this little girl touched me deeply… I would simply narrate the story here …</div><div style="color: cyan;"><br />
</div><div style="color: cyan;">The story is setup in a little older time where racial discrimination seemed to be still prevalent... </div><div style="color: cyan;"><br />
</div><div style="color: cyan;"><i>A young man was helping his uncle grind wheat in an old fashioned mill. The uncle operated a large farm on which a number of colored sharecrop farmers lived. Quietly the door opened and a small colored child, daughter of a tenant, walked in and stood near the door. The uncle saw the child and barked at her roughly - "What do you want?" Meekly the child replied, "My mommy say send her Fifty cents". "I'll not", the uncle retorted, "Now you run home.""Yes, sah," the child replied. But she did not move. The uncle went ahead with his work, so busy that he did not notice that child has not left. When he looked up and saw her still standing, he furiously yelled "I told you to go home or I'll take a switch to you."<br />
The little girl said "Yes Sah" but she did not budge an inch. The uncle dropped the sack of grain he was about to pour into the mill hopper, picked a barrel stave, and started toward the child with an expression which indicated trouble.<br />
<br />
The young man held his breath, he was sure he was about to witness a murder as he knew his uncle's fierce temper. He knew that colored children were not supposed to defy white people in that part of the country.<br />
<br />
When the uncle reached close to the child, she quickly stepped forward one step, looked up into his eyes, and screamed at top of her shrill voice, "MY MOMMY'S GOT TO HAVE THAT FIFTY CENTS."<br />
<br />
The uncle stopped, looked at her for a minute, then slowly laid the barrel stave on floor, put his hand in his pocket, took out half a dollar and gave it to the girl. The child took the money, slowly backed towards the door, never taking her eyes off the man she had just conquered.<br />
</i></div><div style="color: cyan;"><br />
</div><div style="color: cyan;">I seem to be loving this book. I might bore you all with some more posts from the book soon :) :) :)....</div>sachinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08243220793694199066noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2972127016889435447.post-20843329690527095942010-06-06T06:17:00.001-07:002010-06-06T06:36:08.386-07:00Things that make me happy (1)<link href="file:///C:/DOCUME%7E1/m/LOCALS%7E1/Temp/msoclip1/01/clip_filelist.xml" rel="File-List"></link><style>

The temperature of earth is varying significantly. The ice of both the poles is melting very fast and sea level is increasing.</div><div class="MsoNormal" style="color: yellow;"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal" style="color: yellow;"><span style="font-size: 16pt;">We can observe its effects in weather. I used to like summer season a lot. But I no more like summer because of very high temperature. Only few years ago the summers were meant to enjoy holidays and to travel but in the temp. Of 45 – 47’ c. you cannot afford to go anywhere.<o:p></o:p></span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="color: yellow;"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal" style="color: yellow;"><span style="font-size: 16pt;">Summers are becoming hotter and winters more cool. Nature is behaving very strangely but its not her fault its only because of we all. We’ll have to make earth green in order to save it. Forests should be preserved and trees should be plant all over the world.<o:p></o:p></span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="color: yellow;"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNormal" style="color: yellow;"><span style="font-size: 16pt;">Situation in India is worse and is expected to get worst in coming years. Temp. is already above 45 and the hottest nine days of the year called “nautapa” have not started yet. Wind is warm at all 24 hrs of days; there is no relief even in night. Scorching sunlight has caused thousands of people to die. <o:p></o:p></span></div><div class="MsoNormal"><span style="color: green; font-size: 16pt;"><span style="color: yellow;">The hot weather has made me restless I don’t know how to face this summer.</span><o:p></o:p></span></div>sachinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08243220793694199066noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2972127016889435447.post-47142893587011254412010-05-16T00:28:00.000-07:002010-05-16T00:30:38.490-07:00Rich dad poor dad - SummaryHi... As one of my friend asked for a small summary of one of my favorite book 'Rich dad poor dad' .. here I go .. (apologize for delay clouds :) )... <br />
<br />
1. Describes what a poor parent teaches their children about money as oppose to what rich parents teach their children about money.<br />
<br />
2. Poor and middle class work for money. Rich have money work for them.<br />
<br />
3. Financial literacy - Money without financial intelligence is money gone soon.<br />
<br />
4. Buy assets and reduce liability...but hardest thing is to differentiate between asset and liability <br />
<br />
5. Cash flow of rich and poor people (one of my favorite topics of the book)<br />
<br />
Assets - Put money to your pocket e.g. share, business etc.<br />
Liabilities - Takes money out of your pocket e.g. home (yes, he challenges the very notion of home being the greatest investment, car etc.)<br />
<br />
How to increase the asset quadrant and reduce the liability quadrant - <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRMJHQagoAKboZgU5mOQgPw9QQ3WJQgBpD7OVbwlYW3fgkI9A_HX1Ll36O3AibXzbPuon-LSPl1nxzRu1PuMJff6OLVNEuWjZK7t7DuKlU-zi5bhyphenhyphend_8zYaOpg3RckvCl5RgKbZDLXqSKD/s1600/Cash+flow.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRMJHQagoAKboZgU5mOQgPw9QQ3WJQgBpD7OVbwlYW3fgkI9A_HX1Ll36O3AibXzbPuon-LSPl1nxzRu1PuMJff6OLVNEuWjZK7t7DuKlU-zi5bhyphenhyphend_8zYaOpg3RckvCl5RgKbZDLXqSKD/s400/Cash+flow.JPG" width="282" /></a></div><br />
<br />
6. Describes Power of taxes. How rich use taxes to their advantage - <br />
<br />
Rich -- Earn -> Spend -> Pay Tax<br />
<br />
Poor -- Earn -> Pay Tax -> Spend<br />
<br />
(see the reversal in order of Pay tax and Spend)<br />
<br />
7. Practical tips on how to begin and act.<br />
<br />
The great thing about the book is that its not a 'get rich quick' book. It doesn't teach you any shortcut for getting rich, but it teaches you the financial wisdom which can help you increase your wealth.sachinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08243220793694199066noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2972127016889435447.post-73885616305052100482010-05-07T00:23:00.000-07:002010-05-13T10:23:11.364-07:00A Tribute to GOD of CricketSachin Tendulkar is really God of Cricket. Almost all the records of cricket are owned by him. There are no apparent weaknesses in Tendulkar’s game. He can score all around the wicket, off both front foot and back, can tune his technique to suit every condition, temper his game to suit every situation, and has made runs in all parts of the world in all conditions.<br />
<br />
<br />
Some of his finest performances have come against Australia, the overwhelmingly dominant team. He is really most complete batsman of the world. Sachin is soon going to make another record of having most followers as since he joined Twitter. <br />
Tendulkar’s considerable achievements seem greater still when looked at in the light of the burden of expectations he has had to bear from his adoring but somewhat unreasonable followers. We all need to follow Sachin on Twitter so that he makes another record and once again make the nation proud.<br />
<br />
Tendulkar is a living legend but still he lives a very simple family life. He celebrates his birthday with simplicity and he is a family man. He is in real sense, youth icon of world. After making 200 runs in ODI, the world is sure that Sachin would be first and last man to make 100 centuries in International Cricket.sachinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08243220793694199066noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2972127016889435447.post-52216340887411069342010-04-17T12:30:00.000-07:002010-04-17T12:31:20.868-07:00Rich Dad Poor Dad... A must for financial novice...One of the most amazing and enlightening book on personal finance management, I have ever come across. Robert Kiyosaki's simple writing style with a story narration will bind you to the book. The essence lies in the fact that the book never preaches anything yet by the end of every chapter you would brutally face some of the untaught realities of life.<br />
<br />
Robert attacks the very myth of common people who teaches their child to study hard, earn good grades and then join a GOOD job with secure future. He thinks that this very psychology of getting a good secure job without knowing the money management basics pushes a person into the vicious circle of working -> earning -> working -> earning. He described this as rat race and the goal of the personal money management should be to come out of this rat race.<br />
<br />
I recommend each one of us read this <a target="_blank" href="http://www.amazon.com/Rich-Dad-Poor-Money-That-Middle/dp/044656740X?ie=UTF8&tag=blabbering-20&link_code=btl&camp=213689&creative=392969">book</a><img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=blabbering-20&l=btl&camp=213689&creative=392969&o=1&a=044656740X" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important; padding: 0px !important" /> and also instill the basics of money management to our next generation.<a imageanchor="1" target="_blank" href="http://www.amazon.com/Rich-Dad-Poor-Money-That-Middle/dp/044656740X?ie=UTF8&tag=blabbering-20&link_code=bil&camp=213689&creative=392969"><img alt="Rich Dad Poor Dad: What the Rich Teach Their Kids About Money-That the Poor and the Middle Class Do Not!" src="http://ws.amazon.com/widgets/q?MarketPlace=US&ServiceVersion=20070822&ID=AsinImage&WS=1&Format=_SL160_&ASIN=044656740X&tag=blabbering-20" /></a><img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=blabbering-20&l=bil&camp=213689&creative=392969&o=1&a=044656740X" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important; padding: 0px !important" />sachinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08243220793694199066noreply@blogger.com2
